Lucas NG is a full-time athlete and coach, dedicated to the excellence of his sport - short track speed skating. The founder and director of Swift Skating Academy, he holds the distinction of being the first Singaporean athlete to compete at a major winter sport event at the Asian Winter Games 2011. He holds a SEA Games 2019 Gold (Men's Relay), SEA Games 2017 Silver (Individual 1000m & Men's Relay), and most recently, participated in the 2022 Winter Olympic Qualifiers, where he was the top ranked Singaporean among athletes in the team that competed.
Showing the consistency of his coaching ethos and the versatility of his sporting skillset, Lucas has also applied his ice skating talent into inline speed skating. Since 2021, Lucas has injected energy, discipline, and imparted key skills to the community's top athletes, inspiring them to develop from junior to senior categories - which can be expected of someone who was twice awarded the Singapore Sports Award in 2018 and 2020 for his contribution to the Singapore sporting community.
Coach CHUN Lee-Kyung is a four-time Olympic Gold Medalist (for South Korea) for Short Track Speed Skating, and is one of the directors of Swift Skating Academy. She was the National Team Coach for the Singapore Short Track Speed Skating team from 2015-2018, and prior to Singapore, coached in Busan, South Korea from 2003-2010.
A member of the International Olympic Committee's (IOC) Athlete's Commission from 2002 to 2008, and also a member of her country's Olympic Committee 2001-2015, Coach Chun brings the highest level of professionalism for training athletes and coaches in the Singapore sporting community.
Under her coaching, skaters have been able to achieve and improve their personal best times (PBs), and also qualify and achieve national and international records and medals, such as in the Southeast Asian Games (SEA Games), and other regional and international competitions.
